Welcome to the Sound of a Whisper Blog. I started this blog site a while ago - with the prayer and hope that it would encourage others in their walk with God.
It is my prayer that these blogs - both past and present will be an encouragement to you. To pursue the heart of God, to know Him intimately, and to learn to walk with Him by engaging in a life of contemplative prayer and the study of His Word.
The past blogs were written from my heart as I pondered God and how He would whisper to me throughout my day. Revealing His heart and His nature to me along the way!
In the future, the Lord has been putting it on my heart to post daily prayer audio blogs. The reason for this is two fold.
1. To Encourage You to Pray. Over the years, I have ran across so many people who are afraid to pray aloud or they have no idea on how to connect with God in prayer. It is my prayer that these audio prayer blogs will help you begin to hear, to see and to know how to talk with God. God is aching for an intimate relationship with you. He desires to speak with you directly. He desires for you to hear His voice. He yearns for you to hear the Sound of His Whisper.
2. A Place of Ministry. I don't know about you, but there are moments in life when I am just not in a place to be able to pray for myself. Recently, I was listening to a sermon from a friend of mine and halfway through his talk he stopped and prayed for quite a while. As he prayed, I found myself falling back into the arms of Jesus. I felt the weariness wash off of me and I felt a new strength of God's Spirit arise within me. It hit me once again...there is power in prayer! It is my prayer that these audio blogs will minister to you and strengthen you in your pursuit to walk with and talk with God!
